“I was quickly checked into my double room on the third floor, which didn't have a terrace but a small window in the bedroom, the airconditioner could only be turned on by the reception and you had to call them by dialling '0' from your room. There was no bathtub and only a shower cubicle, there was a small window in shower room. The TV which was small, only had a few channels and the signal strength was very bad and no English speaking channels. No safe in the room but it did have a wardrobe...

“The location was ideal for overnighting before a flight. Also, if you had the time or inclination to, you could walk to Makenzy beach, or catch the 425 bus into the city. The room was very comfortable, if a tad small, but the bathroom was a generous size and very functional. As one person, I coped well. “The Best Western Plus Larco Hotel is overrated. It's outside the city center (30 to 40 minutes on foot), the rooms are tiny and certainly not what you would expect of a hotel that is rated 4 stars, the breakfast is ordinary and repetitive. They also have a nickel and dime attitude that is deplorable. As an example, they give you one litre of water the first day that you arrive, but want you to pay for it starting on the second day. “Excellent breakfast, friendly helpful staff. Location not great - it’s a bus ride into Larnaca and the nearest beaches aren’t up to much. Our biggest gripe, though, was that we were not informed beforehand that the pool was being renovated. the pool was a major factor in choosing the hotel and, apart from a ramshackle taverna, there is nothing much nearby, so we were not happy.”
