"Very dated Not well cleaned Fridge broken "

"The grandeur of the hotel and friendliness of the staff are something everyone should experience once when travelling. Every employee we encountered, whether at the valet, the reception, in the elevator, hallways or restaurant greeted us with a smile, hello and genuine interest. A room checker, completely unprompted, offered us water in the hallway on our way out in the morning. The wait staff in the bar were extremely knowledgeable and took their time explaining the offerings to ensure we ordered the right cocktail for our persona taste. The only drawback was the comfort of the mattress in our room. It may be because our room hadn’t yet been renovated, but it was far too soft and almost felt like a foam mattress. Some floors have recently been renovated, and for a fee, we could have ungraded. Overall, it was a very memorable experience."

"Friendly staffs and clean rooms with microwave. Good size room. Pool and gym in the 4th floor. Dining area is a bit small with limited selection food for breakfast."

"We had to change room because the first one was not clean, in particular the dirty bathroom floor where we found bunch of hairs. I requested a changed floor, just in case... The corridor carpet outside the second0 room was covered with trash. Although this new room seemed ok, we would not trust it cleanest after these experiences.. The hotel appears to be in a noticeable state of decline due to insufficient maintenance and repair investment. Service was uneven, and staff often seemed to be learning procedures on the fly. The overall experience did not reflect the standards we expected."

"Short stay, so did not get to use the amenities. Room was fine, but bland and right next to construction. They did provide ear plugs, but I couldn’t use those since I didn’t want to miss my alarm."

"Once again, my favourite place in Ottawa. Service is always excellent, rooms are comfortable. Location insuperable. Then only issue is that they require a system that identifies repeat clients. Would be a lovely addition if you welcome back frequent guests."
