![The church building was completed in 1891 and was located 4 miles north of McLouth at the intersection of Union (Hwy 92) and 118th. It was a United Brethren Church and became Evangelical United Brethren (E.U.B.) in 1946 with the unification of the denominations. It was moved to Old Jefferson Town in 1970. Thomas Edmonds was the first S.S. Supt. We came to the area for a tournament and this was our home base for the week—-warm, homey and a great retreat from the gym. We mostly had breakfasts there and then late night snacks. The beautiful country drive to both Topeka and Lawrence was easy. We appreciated the quiet area!
