“The location of the hotel was ideal. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious, but could do with sprucing up and updating. The bed was comfortable, and the shower over the bath was nice and powerful.
The staff were friendly. The bar and restaurant were cosy and the breakfast room was light and bright. We had the continental breakfast, which was lovely, with a choice of cereals, fabulous choice of fresh fruit and juices, ham & cheese, Danish pastries, toast, and individual pots of tea & coffee. ...
“The Bay Window Seaview rooms are just ok. They are pretty basic and small.
The studio suite is a different world: better everything - including coffee maker, air-conditioning, and a bathroom as big as the Seaview rooms.”
“The manager, Mac, was very welcoming and took the time to explain the facilities within the hotel. Our room while a little dated, was warm, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was superb and contained a variety of choices. The dining room was tastefully decorated. Recommend staying here.”
“An excellent hotel, with beautiful views and wildlife.
We were there for a wedding which was excellent. The food, drink and service was excellent.
I will book again.”
“Conveniently located just off main road - the A40 between Fishguard and Haverfordwest in Pembrokeshire, west Wales. Off-street Hotel car park. Very friendly and efficient staff. Located in a pretty valley with rock formations and a wooded gorge. Ideal for the Irish ferry between Fishguard and Rosslare in Ireland. I had a comfortable, clean, well-appointed room. Would book to stay there again.”
“Two houses converted to a hotel with multiple extensions done to an average standard: windows not fully opening, uneven and squeaky floors. Also the breakfast was OK but I had better in similar hotels (e.g. fried egg a bit too runny). High cost, given the standard. Main positives: excellent location by the train station and 10 mins walk from the ferry, accomodates late arrivals.”
“A perfect cottage in an idyllic location next to Lys Y fran reservoir. Dog friendly do don't expect immaculate cottage but clean and in good order. Very comfortable all round. Swimming pool and lovely grounds.
Being next to water dpirfz centre and visitor centre cafd a great bonus too.
Perfect for a peaceful get away.”
“We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage. The grounds of Maesgwynne Mansions (on which this small courtyard of cottages is situated) are lovely; this time of year flowering rhododendrons are a highlight, and a walk around took us past the fishing lake and neighbouring fields with various farm animals. There are fabulous views, and the outdoor swimming pool had a cover enabling us to use it even in early May. very peaceful & highly recommended.”
