"I had a great time at Talking Stick Resort. The staff were very nice and accommodating, and the casino staff were friendly as well. The food was good, and having around-the-clock room service was a great perk. The location was perfect—about 15 minutes from everything, especially Old Town, which is where most of the nightlife and entertainment is. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely come back.
"
"Poolside seating was nice at the main pool. The hot tubs weren't hot at my building. They were renovating at the time of our stay therefore I would come back and try again. "
"The high rating this property has is deceiving. The pictures online were of a unit that must have been newly remodeled and used for the pictures. The unit we were in was not anywhere near the quality that was depicted in the photos. The bathroom had paint peeling off the trim in chunks onto the floor. There was visible water damage on the walls around and under the tub. The tub surround was new so it appears to be hiding the rest of the water damage underneath. The walls and ceiling in the unit were water damaged in places and patched over but highly noticeable because it looked like no attempt was made to blend it into the existing texture. The bedroom nightstand, dresser and lamp were so outdated and in such bad condition it looked like it was furniture that was picked up off the curb on garbage day. The floors in the unit were uneven and our feet and white socks were black after walking around. We didn’t realize it was the units floor until after showering and walking around barefoot our feet were noticeably dirty on the bottom right away. The in unit washer and dryer was one of the reasons we chose this property over others. The rec room area and pool were as depicted. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. I would never stay here again due to the poor quality of the unit. "
"If you’ve never been here before and they ask you if you’d like help with your bags when you check-in, I’d accept the help knowing what the layout of the property is like now.
A/C was extremely underwhelming for a 90 degree day in AZ. Turned it all the way to 62 at night and it didn’t seem to cool anywhere near that temp.
Drain in shower is very slow.
Hot tub was closed."
"The room was not clean, but no bugs. Just a lot of dust and gunk built up on surfaces. Bed was comfortable. Bedding was clean. Towels were clean. The room just needs a deep clean. The pool and hot tub were nice."
"Beware you get charged $39 per day just to use the ‘amenities’ such as the walking trail. I don’t recall this being disclosed when I booked. My room was also not available despite me reserving it weeks in advance. They put me in a different room that had a pullout bed, not an actual bed for my guest. The staff were great just disappointed in my overall experience."
