"We were very excited to stay here. Beautiful property, on the beach, a little hard to find, limited parking spaces… but the pool area was gorgeous. Check in was a wait. They don’t start until 4 pm and we arrived about 3:45 and got in line a bit hungry, thought we’d grab a quick pre dinner snack from the hotel market but it closed at 4 pm. So it felt like two strikes right off.
Very clean and inviting room. However our patio with a very nice ocean front view had black mold on the concrete and walls. It was a substantial amount. We couldn’t go out and enjoy it although we paid the extra to do so….. We contacted the staff, spoke with the concierge manager who offered to refund our parking cost($20.00 a day) and what did that have to do with this problem of mold on our patio? They also offered us Marriot Bonvoy points equal to a whopping $149.00) and in order to claim that we had to sign up…
Over all. For such a lovely place, we will not return and we do not recommend it. Go for a less expensive location with not so much “posh”
And yes, we ended up with allergy symptoms, which we don’t have , headaches, coughs, sneezing, etc. A follow up with our doctor and we are suffering from exposure to mold…."
