Horrible place to stay
Very rude, drug addicts all over, rooms smell like mold, rusted tubs, scum all over bathroom walls, spiders all over and the room doors do not lock so anyone can come in when your gone!

The room has a moldy mildew smell. There was only one set of towels. There was no ice bucket and when we asked for one he just nodded no. There were several other guests that were outside cursing yelling and the police where called.

The blinds had a gap in the middle, the refrigerator wasn't plugged in, no packs of coffee for the coffee pot, 1 of the light bulbs was burnt out in the bathroom & it took over 3 hours for the room not to be cold

They tried to place me in a smoking room. The non smoking room I received was still smoked in. Using the AC made the room reek worse. I actually was afraid to sleep on their sheets. I slept in my sleeping bag instead. The tub didn't drain after taking a shower. I became sick from this stay and beyond am currntly still sick. Not going back. Will not recommend to anyone. EVER

You get what you pay for
For the price you get a bed and a bathroom, don't expect much more. It was used as a place to lay my head on a road trip, so the Hilton was not expected. Everything is low quality and old.

Wouldn't recommend this motel to an enemy
1) Reserved a non-smoking room but upon check-in they said only smoking rooms available. 2) Room was in poor condition and smelt horrible - had to sleep with window open. 3) Carpet was patched together. 4) Room was in much need of a new paint job and carpeting 5) Furniture was dirty and worn.

There was black mold covering the bathroom and bloodstains all over the bed and sheets. Management is rude!

Horrible motel on busy highway
​Below is the message I emailed to Expedia 4 days ago - I EXPECT A REPLY FROM EXPEDIA CUSTOMER SERVICE: This motel is a dump - we checked in but left immediately as the room smelled of mold, paper was peeling from the walls, and the overall standard was not what I expect from Expedia. DO NOT STAY HERE! Disgusting and seedy
Let me start off by saying I have stayed in many different hotel/motels. If the rooms looked anything like advertised, I wouldn't have minded. However, my husband and I were horribly disgusted by the state of the room we were given. Within 30 seconds of entering the room, we knew we could not stay the night there. The pictures posted on the website are very misleading and are nothing like the actual room. I'm not even sure where to begin: the flooring had holes in it, the furniture was broken, the mattress didn't even have a fitted sheet on it, the lampshades were cracked, there was cigarette holes in the blanket on the bed, there were no towels in the bathroom, and it was all around a disgusting place. It smelled like drugs. The only thing missing was a chalk outline on the floor. You couldn't pay me $60 dollars to stay there. When we approached management about our issues, he did not seem to care. We ended up returning the keys and getting a room at the Ramada down the street- which was a much better experience. My only regret was not taking any pictures of the room at the Pottsville Motor Inn, because my description doesn't do it justice. But I felt like just standing in the room increased my chances of contracting Hepatitis, so pictures were the last thing on my mind. DO NOT STAY HERE! Stay at the Ramada instead, the extra money is completely worth it.

Stay away
Hotel is old and outdated needs a major renovation. The room had a moldy smell coming from the A/C. Hotel owner was very abrupt and kept asking me if I had any pets. Was glad to leave very early next morning.

major upgrade needed
The hotel is very run down and needs MAJOR updates!! Our room had a musty smell and not the best decor, it felt like we were staying inside of spongebob!! The walls were very dirty yellow and the carpet was nasty!! The shower had great hot water, but could use a hard scrub down!! The office was very unperfessional!! They stay upstairs and you have to ring a bell, wait outside until they get downstairs.

We can take a little worse for the wear BUT....
Our nonsmoking room was so heavily saturated with nicotine odor that our clothes and even luggage picked up the smell in just a little over 12 hours. Plus one of the top sheets had a huge what appeared to be grease stain that we both hunkered down in the second bed and left that one quite alone. The room was large with a fridge, microwave, table and chairs along with the standard desk etc. So while we can overlook the outdated decor, the peeling molding, the older tv etc. those two major issues made the stay unpleasant.

The worst.
The staff was inconsiderate. The non smoking rooms had cigarette odor, uncomfortable beds and will not stay there anymore. I guess you get what you pay for.

Old Motor Lodge...
Located on a bluff above the city....nice view...convenient to shopping with a good array of local restaurants. Facility is old...and shows its age...heat system works well and television service is pretty good for a remote location. City (Pottsville) is home to the Yeungling Brewery and has a spectacular old County Courthouse building and associated facilities that point to a grand past.

Staff was less then friendly. Roomed look dingy and stunk. TV was from 1995. Bathroom looked dirty.

Cheap and creepy in Pottsville
The beds were firm, the pillows didn't smell weird. AC worked, though no air in room when we checked in. Double queen room was very large. Otherwise this was a sketchy place! Everything unplugged in the room, the wall switched lamp was broken, no internal lock on the door, my key didn't work but my nephew's next door key opened both our rooms. Weird people hanging out in the office. Seemed like a front for something else....

Trip to PA
This is the worst hotel that we have ever stayed in. Carpet in the room was damp and the whole room was humid. We asked to change the room. New room was ok. But in the morning the lock did not open from inside. We were trapped inside the room for an hour. Ultimately the owner had to drill down the bolt and let us out. I will not recommend this hotel to anybody.

We needed a last minute room on Memorial Day Weekend due to an unexpected change in plans. This was the last room available in like a 50 mile radius of where I needed to stay. We arrived very late and extremely tired, so I was not too aware of the condition of the room until I woke up a few hours later. When I booked the room over the phone I was told I would be getting a CLEAN NON-SMOKING room with two double beds and a sleeper sofa. From the second I opened the door I was knocked over with the stench of cigarette smoke. There was no sofa. Bedding did not appear clean or it could be that they were just stained that badly. There were cigarette holes through out the comforters. The beds were hard and I could feel each spring about to pierce my body. The bathroom was covered with mold/mildew in the tub area and ceiling. The towels and sheets were so rough, I was afraid I would cut my skin with them. I have stayed at plenty of "cheap" last minute motels/hotels for a quick nights rest on long trips before, but this was the worse experience yet. And to top it off the room was not that "cheap" - way too expensive for the poor quality.

The room smelled like a bar. Was supposed to be a non smoking room. This place wasn't updated in 20 years. It's dirty and it stinks.
