Casa Villamar was perfect in every aspect. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. Great location just 2 blocks away from the Malecon which gives a feeling of privacy, yet close enough to the action if you want it. As far as I'm concerned, the best compliment about a hotel is that you ...

It was beautiful
Beautiful white sand beach. Friendly people.
Better go before it turns in to another Cancun. There are cruise ship arrivals almost every day at the pier but it was still pretty low key compared to Cancun, Cozumel. Not commercialized like those cities yet.
The only thing we struggled with slightly was the wifi in our room only worked near the door. I have to admit, the disconnect from our phones made for a more personal experience.
Interesting array of how old meets new.
