The amenities were impeccable and the staff also were great especially Ulysses. He deserves all the praises and I was hoping I could've done more for hm.
We had a Great stay! my family really enjoyed the pools and the days we were there! highly recommend, staff is amazing always there to help and super friendly!
We enjoyed our time. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. The resort was beautiful with many pools. Very kid friendly and also nice place for a romantic getaway!
We had a great stay at Delta Marriott Puerto Vallarta. The hotel was clean, modern, and well maintained. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. We especially enjoyed the pools, beautiful views, and convenient location. The rooms were comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and family-friendly. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta.
Resort was dirty ( iguana dung on sidewalks) Room was not as describe and dirty, found stains on bed dead bugs, staff and guest not friendly to Americans especially a woman(double standard), limited food selection all the same during the week. Not a Marriott standard hotel. Will not recommend. Golf cart driver was the most helpful and nice.
Some of the staff was friendly, in particular Fernando in Bar Xaman, Angel at Sal y Tomillo, Carmen the lifeguard, Gladys and Valencia at the lobby bar. All the drivers for the golf carts were also friendly. A lot of the others seemed annoyed at the presence of guests. There were rarely chairs available by the pools as people set out towels early then came back hours later. The same is for the beach club, too few chairs and tables. Couldn't even get food. The restaurants claim high end locally crafted food but it's over cooked wings and burgers with undercooked potatoes covered in BBQ sauce. Overall, it's great for pictures, bad for enjoyment and relaxing.

Disliked: Amenities
Understaffed. Beach club was great. Coffee shop staff were sweet. Buffet will have lines. And chefs don’t care about food being replenished. Please see photos attached at 9:30pm for the Huichol Buffet after being turned away for being late 15 minutes for a teppanyaki reservation. So dissatisfied and felt it was a waste of thousands of dollars for a 5 night stay. Bartenders were amazing. Pools were understaffed and quite unkempt.

I remember talking to my fiancee and us agreeing that this resort did not really make much "sense" until we walked all the way up the mountain side. Our tower near the bottom and the tower next to us felt detached from the hotel lobby and the resort as whole. It is only when you travel all the way up the path behind the lobby does the resort finally become comprehensible.
You wind through a series of cliff side pools, restaurants, a water park, a natural pool, and finally...the rest of the hotel suites. At last, you see the lush, green mountains as advertised and a series of hotel buildings couched into the hills like little bungalows, a beach cabana in the middle of the jungle. There were about six restaurants, each based on different types of food like Japanese, world cuisine, or a sports bar. The food was lackluster overall compared to other all inclusive resorts we tried in Mexico. The lack of any signature theming for any restaurant/bar, the long periods of time you had to wait to basically eat at a buffet, the inconsistent service, not to mention the less than stellar alcohol made the food portion of this all inclusive perk rather disappointing.
You come to this resort because it is decently priced, has beautiful mountain theming for its rooms, and the water park and numerous pools will delight children and their parents alike. If you are looking for delicious food, great service, or easy access to a nice beach, please look elsewhere.
The resort was definitely not clean, there was iguana poop everywhere, all over walkways, in the pools and lazy river. Lazy river was always full of debris like sticks and leaves. Staff there for the most part was good but there were a couple that definitely didn’t care to try help with much at all. The golf carts to take you around are a awesome idea considering it’s built into the side of a mountain but the golf carts where not easy to get ahold of or you would find them all at the top of the resort all hanging out chatting.
There was not much for food choices there, the pool bar and grill had easily the best food at the resort.
Trying to get to and from the airport was also a task as they didn’t really wanna help at the front desk unless you paid a heavy price for the ride.
Overall I definitely wouldn’t choose this resort to stay at again as it was very dirty and the food was not the best.
The hotel is beyond incredible , located in a hill in the middle of the jungle with so many beautiful pools, an amazing lazy river and a very fun water slide where my kids spent hours on end. The staff is amazing. They always had a big smile on their face and always going above and beyond to help. Our pictures came out incredible, looking like a resort out of a movie. Our setbacks were the food - not that many restaurants where most of them were offering the same thing. It seems like they had good intentions about food but poorly executed. Breakfast and dinner were buffet style food every day, where everything was cold-warm at the most and bland. Nothing in either of the restaurants was great, they were just okay at most, except the Teppanyaki style one. This one was really good but without AC - brutal! The second thing was that the walls are extremely thin and you could hear everything - literally. Something we never had experienced before. At times you would think that they were inside the room with you. Our neighbor sneezed, we said bless you just joking and she answered thank you as if we were in the same room. But the worse thing was that our neighbors had a dog (didn’t know it was pet friendly) so the dog barked all the time. Was not planning on going on a relaxing vacation to be hearing a dog all the time - very annoying. It would be best if they had either a floor solely for guests with pets or even a whole section for them. Would go back for the scenery, not the food
The property is clean and well maintained but there are some service issues. Some staff seem under trained and some are very good. Getting towels for the pool area is hard. The bar closes early and the restaurants close at 10pm.
Staff like Gladys( Gucci Gucci bartender), Miriam( Front Desk) and staff at the Spa were excellent.
Rooms are big but lack the clean and luxury feel.
Property good for old people/family outings so younger people/couples will get bored.
Management needs to be more customer focused.
Restaurants are clean Nd neat. Helpful staff and the food is good.
I am genuinely surprised, disgusted, and deeply disappointed by the experience my family and I had during our stay at this property from August 20th through August 23rd. This was, without question, one of the worst resort experiences I have ever had—especially considering the cost and the fact that this property operates under the Marriott name.
Upon arrival at approximately 2:30 p.m., I understood that my room was not yet ready, as check-in was at 3:00 p.m. I was told the room would be ready within 30 minutes, so I spent time exploring the property with my two children. When I returned at 4:00 p.m., I was shocked to learn that my room was still not ready.
After going back and forth with the front desk, I was eventually given a room key. However, when my two children and I entered the room, we quickly realized that the room was already assigned to and occupied by another guest. Thankfully, the guests were not present at the time, because I can only imagine how frightening or dangerous that situation could have been—for both my family and the actual occupants of the room. This was a serious and unacceptable security failure.
The front desk then had a concierge take us to another available room. I specifically booked accommodations with multiple beds because I was traveling with my two children. Instead, I was placed in a room with only one bed and a filthy sofa.
Amazing pools loved the adults area. Only downside was our room we didn’t get serviced for 2 days . But we had positive mindset did reach out to the team for assistance took some time to get stuff done again we remained calm. We loved the beach club they provided transportation. The bar staff was amazing . Drinks were yummy !

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
What was unique about the property was that it was located in a jungle and you did get this experience. It was great for pictures! But there also were drawbacks, the iguanas would crap on everything and this was not cleaned and the smell was bad. The rooms - beds were so uncomfortable, our room was not cleaned daily where we always had to ask for towels, etc. The food - was not great, all the restaurants were the same and all the food was the same. The Japanese restaurant was so hot we had to fan ourselves and the whole experience lasted 2 hours. The pools- were not cleaned out and had lots of bugs.
We recently stayed at Delta Hotels by Marriott Puerto Vallarta for three days. Overall, the property is absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous views and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff we interacted with were all kind, friendly, and professional, so I don’t think the issue was with the employees themselves.
What stood out the most was that the hotel seemed understaffed. Our room was only cleaned once during our entire three-day stay, which was disappointing. Service also felt inconsistent, and it often took longer than expected to get assistance.
The transportation system around the resort was a bit unusual. Guests rely on golf carts to get around the property, which is understandable because of the layout, but there were times we had to wait quite a while for one to arrive. It made getting from one area of the hotel to another less convenient than expected.
The hotel itself is stunning and has a lot of potential, but improving staffing levels and overall service would make a big difference in the guest experience. I would consider staying again because the property is so beautiful, but I hope they address these service issues.
Great hotel and choice for an all inclusive. Great food, clean, great service and everyone was very welcoming. Would definitely come back. The only downside is the beach access, we had to take a 10 min ride every time we wanted to go and 10 min back. But overall very comforting, relaxing, and enjoyable.
This place is amazing the staff goes above and beyond and everyone is so polite including all the other travelers!!! I would definitely come back it is worth every penny!!! The food is awesome and drinks are delicious 😋 The natural pool is my favorite!! This is a win win!! 💖
