We arrived late and received a wonderful and warm welcome from the owners' daughter. She made us feel so welcome after a very long day and got us checked in quickly and easily. The next morning we met the owners and both were also very warm and friendly. We had a great breakfast in a beautiful breakfast room. This was most definitely the best stay we had out of the 11 hotels we stayed in on this roadtrip. If we ever come back to Rothenburg ob der Tauber, this is where we will be staying.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel which is located in the old town. Great location with plenty of dining options. The hotel staff, especially Isabella, have been very helpful by providing us with wonderful restaurant recommendations. We enjoyed our brief stay and would definitely come back again!

Hotel Sonne was outstanding. In the middle of town, close to everything. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. There is no elevator, so be prepared for a few stairs. You can get a dronk from their bar and take it upstairs to a very quiet and private terrace. Highly recommended.

I loved how it was right in the village. The staff was so friendly! The room was smaller, but I was alone and it’s all that I needed. The bird was comfortable and TV worked. They even gave me a bottle of water. The windows were new and I was able to open them. It was nice. They had a fan in the room as well. I love the outside patio! I would definitely go back.
