The location of the Su Nido Inn was perfect for the start of the marathon. It was also very convenient to downtown food and shopping. My only complaint is that the photo on hotels.com showed a bathtub, so I thought I was booking a suite with a tub (a necessity after a marathon). Well the Bluejay suite had no tub, which was a big disappointment. I tried to switch suites, but they were sold out. So next time I would book directly through Su Nido Inn to make sure you know what you are getting.

Really nice rooms and property with a gated courtyard with nice trees and seating areas. Not sure about the "resort fee" as there were no amenities - just some bikes and a pool at a sister hotel you would have to drive too (we did not). It is a short walk to the main street, but there are limited things to see and do and dining choices are few and far between - we did enjoy the walk on the recreation trail (Ojai Valley Trail) and found a couple of nice wine tasting spots in town (Ojai Vineyard and Majestic Oak).

Clean, quiet and comfortable

Great walkable location The hotel courtyard, with umbrella tables and a fountain, was decorated nicely for the holidays. The suite was spacious and the bed comfortable. Where this property falls short is the service. Aside from when I checked in, no one is on staff at the property. If you need something you can call the desk at their other Ojai hotel. Surprisingly, the extra $15 per day "amenity fee" does not include housekeeping service until your third day. I stayed for a weekend(Fr., Sat. checking out Sunday) so was not eligible for having the bed made, trash emptied or bottles of water restocked. You're allowed to use the pool at their other property where the staff actually work, but I didn't bother. When I called staff to ask about the housekeeping, I was told they only clean your room after three days because the staff has to clean the other hotel, so they rotate. Guess hiring more staff or paying overtime is not an option.

Incredible service and great room. Doug, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Room is great and though no pool is listed, there is access to a pool. Great location to restaurants and such.
