"the hotel was clean and tidy but needs upgrading in the future like most hotels this age. the hotel is in good location for the town centre. The bedroom was a good size but unable to open any windows. The tv was hard to get local programs and streaming channels. Overall we would stay again as we new the age of the property when we booked."
"Pros: Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views from cabin. Sauna was fabulous after a long day with variable weather conditions. You can book them in advance and have your privacy. Tea, coffee, hot pot refrigerator in rooms a big convenience. Bathrooms are modern, with in floor heating and towel warmers. Beds are comfy and linens are top notch. Breakfast included was delicious. Dinner was very good.
Cons: There can be a bit of a hike to the cabin up hill. Don’t let that stop you this place is fantastic. But after a long day of hiking and rain it can be tough!! They will bring up your luggage just not you. Staff overall is very good but a few of the waiters and bartender it were odd to communicate with."
"It was clean, housekeeping was excellent and friendly. Staff were all very accommodating and friendly. Hotels ok’d and quaint which I loved. Everything was excellent. It is so close to everything. Good was great. Fantastic stay."
The Glen Mhor Hotel and Uile-bheist Brewery & Distillery
10/10 Excellent
"This was a nice stay near the center of town on the river. I'd definitely stay there again. There is ample parking (paid) behind the building which is important. We ate in the hotel restaurant one night and the food was bland. Breakfasts were good. We didn't get a chance to do the distillery and brewery tour, maybe next time."
"The Pearle Oban is right in the heart of the city...beautiful view overlooking the water. Accessible to all sights by walking and plenty of restaurants in the area.
I am not sure why there is no outlet in the bathrooms; it does make it difficult to blow dry your hair...lol
The staff was fabulous; held our luggage for a day while we took an overnight trip to Isle of Mull. Great breakfast spread that was included. Loved our stay in Scotland!"
