"I had a lovely stay at the Shore Hotel in Balintore — the location is beautiful with a peaceful view over the harbour, and my room was immaculate, comfortable, and felt freshly renovated. "Great location for exploring Pitlochry. Stayed in a Superior Double Room with Scenic View. Our room was a ground floor, which was really close to the swimming pool, so great for going to pool in swimming costume and a towel without needing to change. Lovely spacious large room with a comfy bed. The hotel is a little run down but that is also reflected in the price, so overall I was happy with what we paid and got. Light in bathroom out but told reception and fixed quickly. Radiator towel didn't work in bathroom and wasn't able to be fixed during stay. The heating only comes on late a night so room cold when get back from excursions but then really hot in the evening (old style cast iron big radiators), we turned them both off, as in bed with a thick duvet gets a bit much, the radiators stay lukewarm even when off, which was good for drying swimming costumes. They have the new infrared sauna which was lovely and the pool is huge and the jacuzzi was good too so well worth going for a swim. Ate at the restaurant first night, food was good but drink service was poor, took 20 mins for drinks to arrive. Ate at the bar the second night again food was good and buy own drink at bar. Ate out other two nights as so close, would recommend The Bridge Restaurant, 5-7 mins walk from hotel. Use the steps to the right as you leave the hotel, much shorter than the way you drive in."

"Stayed for one night. The room was very cosy and warm and clean extra pillows very nice shower also had dinner food was outstanding staff were very helpful and attentive to any request we had amazing big playground for kids spotless to pool gym. I couldn't fault this hotel staff will go above and beyond to make sure ur needs are met. Very very nice hotel they have everything u need overall it was the staff they were fantastic, very warming and polite family friendly pets to amazing place.also little arcades for the kids and bigger kids lol."

"The evening and Saturday staff were wonderful. Very pleasant, friendly and funny. When we arrived Friday morning, the young woman didn't seem happy to be working, so that is why I didn't give staff a 5, she was a bit negative and seemed to be put off by any questions we had. She also didn't ask if we needed anywhere safe to store our computers, where as the evening and Saturday staff asked us without me inquiring. The room was nice with a wonderful view, it was just old and a little run down. I would have liked the room to be a little better up kept. The breakfast was great, very delicious and had a great variety. The only down fall was one person supporting resupplying anyting the breakfast area had to offer, food, coffee, water, ect. We did not go into the bar."

"Waterfront location was nice but you are isolated from shopping and other restaurants. The clerk at check-in was cold and pressured us to reserve and prepay for dinner and breakfast. Don’t. While the parking is free, it’s unlikely to be available after 6 pm on weekends. If you leave for dinner good luck finding a space later. We had dinner there one night and it was good but expensive for what you get. Our room was nice but not luxury class and cost $280 a night. Unfortunately the combination of a snooty clerk and high price we would not recommend or return. I would stay in Ft. William instead."
