โThis was a pleasant surprise! I wasnโt expecting much based upon the outside of the building. However, I had one of the best hotel experiences in my life. The pictures on the website are exactly what it looks like on the inside. I have stayed at luxury hotels all over the world and this hotel has to be one the cleanest I have ever stayed in! My room was spotless. No nasty dust in the bathroom exhaust fan, fluffy towels, spotless carpeting, even the lamp shades were clean. The staff is honestly...
โI travel often for work. I typically stay in Hyatt or Hilton or Marriott. Traveling to Western Oregon University for this trip and found the independence hotel. I am blown away by the quality, cleanliness, thoughtfulness and service. A really exceptional experience. Highly recommended.

โWe liked our room and the coffee, tea and water station by the lobby. We did not like that parents dropped their kids off at the pool. It was so loud and rowdy. โ
โI'm a wheelchair user but the hotel gave me a room which has a corridor with two steps. That was the only room which doesn't have wheelchair ramp. Breakfast was good and the location was good.โ
โIt was a very busy holiday weekend and the check in staff were extremely busu, but very accommodating and helpful. Location is amazing! Our room was right on the river with a deck and amazing view. It was really nice to be just on the edge of town and to be able to walk to coffee spots, restaurants & the marina. โ
โClean room, friendly staff and decent breakfast. Very quiet around the hotel at night. Dining options in the small town are limited but there are a few. Some were closed because we came on Labor Day. Tillamook is not far from here and there are more options there if you don't mind a short drive. We would definitely stay here again.โ
