Lincoln Sands Oceanfront Resort, an Ascend Collection Hotel

2/10 Terrible

"Run away!!!! Don’t let the photos fool you, this is a 2 star location at best and that’s being generous!! Literally could not sleep due to the constant dripping sound in the wall, which the staff stated “yea we know, they used Pex to install their plumbing and we have constant issues. Literally every 30+ minutes the sound of dripping was so loud we counts sleep. Now to the creative photographer, well played!! Room smelled like mold, balcony was super alert and felt weak and about to fail, tub pictured is made for kids, door would not lock/close. We stayed in room 2206, aka bates motel on steroids. Now the good points I mean point… Bed was solid and no complaints there. Clean quality bedding and materials. Though if you can’t sleep…… Run away if you want to sleep, safe, and treated well."

"This hotel has a great location. However, our room had no air conditioning. Lightbulbs were burned out in the lamps, the water pressure in the shower felt like it was skinning me alive. The breakfast buffet today which is a Saturday morning contains two apples 4 miniature bagels, and about an inch of milk left in the gallon jug. This was at 8 o’clock this morning . The complementary breakfast area is open from seven until 11. The carts for luggage are rickety, the parking spaces are terrible …skinny, and people parking outside the lines and blocking the wheelchair ramp up to the front door. I’ve stayed here for years before it was purchased by OYO, and next time I come to Lincoln city I will probably stay somewhere else."

"It is advertised as a Resort and Conference Center but it really feels like a Motel. The place is really not clean and has a kind of a strange smell. Everything is charged. A crib for the baby is 10 Dollar per night. Late checkout again additional fee. Only positive thing is the spectacular few from the room, but it was difficult to enjoy it was really not clean."
