Solvang, California hotel rooms at the Best Western

"I am not used to virtual “front desks” and check ins. That was unusual for me. Once we figured that out, all was pretty good. The room was nice and appeared clean. The bathroom and shower was big, with very good water pressure. We had a little trouble with the lighting system. It was all or no lights, though it appears you can a have a little control over what’s on lights are in and what’s not. The room had all the expected amenities you would expect like a safe, refrigerator, iron, TV etc. The location in Solvang was very good. It was close to everything we wanted to see and do. The area felt safe. It was odd not seeing another guest and very little hotel staff. We did see a few cleaning staff in the lobby, but it was a quiet place. The parking was below the rooms with elevator service. It was easy access. Overall, I would recommend The Winston. "

"Parking was easy, the room was very clean, the air conditioner was pretty noisy through the night. Just my preference that the pillows were too firm and big and the bed too soft for my taste. Small things in the overall picture. The location is great and the town is so cute!!!"
