"Here’s a more polished and professional version that still conveys your disappointment: It was my first time in London, and I chose this hotel primarily because of its excellent location, which did not disappoint. The hotel itself has great potential, and the facilities were enjoyable. Unfortunately, my experience was negatively impacted by the service at the front desk. I found several staff members to be unprofessional and unhelpful, which made what should have been an exciting trip much less enjoyable. It’s a shame because the hotel and its location are truly great. With better customer service and a more welcoming attitude from the reception team, this could be an outstanding place to stay. I sincerely hope management takes steps to improve the guest experience, as the staff’s behavior left such a negative impression that I would hesitate to return despite all the hotel’s positive qualities."

"It was clean. But the check in wasn’t till 3. They charged $50 for an early check in which is fine & acceptable. The part that got to me was that they didn’t hold your bags. Usually hotels hold your luggage till your room is ready. They don’t. You would have to pay about $20 per bag. Or pay the early check in."

"The view is amazing. My daughter had a larger window rm933 with a Tower Bridge view that was spectacular. The only challenge was trying to keep the room cool. They offer fans which is helpful. I had a corner room that was smaller with a smaller window. It didn’t seem to get as hot and had the same great view. Rm953 we all agreed the view was worth it! The breakfast was delicious and the staff was always very helpful"

"Having stopped at the Holborn Hoxton many times, we have this one a go when visiting nearby for a party. The rooms were nice - nicer than the Holborn hotel, with higher ceilings making them feel roomier. Decor is great throughout the hotel and staff were friendly. Only major downfall is the breakfast - the full English is missing many components, and those there were pretty lacklustre, apart from the bacon. Service was confused, brining me 2 coffees, neither of which seemed to be a flat white like I ordered. Views of the city are great. Not as central as the Holborn hotel, but very close to Southwark station and Waterloo so still easy to get around. Nice walk from the hotel along the riverside to Tower Bridge and borough market."

"From the moment you step into the doors, the Royal Horseguards feels cozy, clean, and very welcoming! The staff was so kind and accommodating. They had umbrellas to borrow for the rainy days in case you don’t have one. We had a twin bed standard room which was very clean with fresh AC, comfty beds, and hot water. The location of the hotel is central to everything you need for sightseeing, restaurants, and getting around to the underground (Embankment was the closest). Awesome experience and stay! I would highly recommend!"

"In a central location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Westminster and Waterloo underground. Easy walk to Big Ben and Trafalgar Square. Lovely Italian restaurant right across the road from hotel, food was great and staff were so lovely. Only ate once in hotel restaurant and wasn't a fan. Overall is was a good hotel to stay at."
