The Principal Hotel

"This place was immaculately clean - maybe too clean as we had a kind of chemical cleaner smell to our room. That’s actually my only real complaint about the property itself. It’s cute, well maintained, easy to park, and convenient. We did not find the staff to be particularly friendly or helpful, though. The girl at check in seemed a little annoyed at having to deal with us, and didn’t give any information -just gave us the keys. The next morning I came down looking for water. There’s a small grab and grow breakfast of fruit and cereal bars which was really nice. But when I was looking for something, the woman at the desk was talking loudly on a personal cell phone call and didn’t bother to acknowledge me at all. After five minutes, I just gave up. We’d definitely stay here again. We loved the concept and the big clean rooms! Just wish there wasn’t a cleaner smell or an unprofessional staff."

"The staff was very attentive to my needs when I needed assistance with the air conditioning and one evening there was a dog barking that was very bothersome that was taken care of right away. The room was clean and well kept. It’s just dated. Everyone was super friendly."

"My son and I stayed here for a couple of days while I was in town visiting family over Labor Day weekend. The front desk person, Romello (sorry if I spelled your name wrong), was super nice and welcoming. All of the other staff we encountered throughout our stay were great as well. My son especially loved the pool. It was definitely his favorite part of the stay. The Marketplace downstairs was also really convenient for grabbing a quick snack or something to drink without having to leave the hotel. Overall, we had a great stay and really enjoyed our time here. We would definitely stay again when we’re back in town."
