โPleasantly surprised. Was booked as an overnight pit stop for Thorpe park but actually wished weโd spent more time there. Quirky, cosy and everything you needed like ironing board, hairdryer, toiletries, coffee machine etc. even snack in the room (chargeable). Literally 5 mins to Thorpe park โ
โIt isnโt a large hotel which makes it much more personable. Beautiful spacious rooms, especially the ones over looking the river with Juliet balcony, where you can watch the ducks & swans- all very idyllic. Staff are helpful & always available.
Downstairs gives plenty of traditional country style pub vibes. If you are looking for an upmarket place to relax & chill out, this is the place to be. A major plus is the free on site parking. There is a 2 tier parking area next to hotel.
Only issue...
โExcellent B&B with the owners personal attention to detail. 25 mins walk to Windsor centre along the road or 45 mins using the scenic route along the "Long Walk" to Windsor Castle.โ
โThe Kings Arm was a great place to stay. The staff were excellent, always smiling. We needed a place to stay convenient to Windsor Great Park - the journey took about 15mins.
The bedroom was not large but had everything in it we needed. The bed was super comfy. The bathroom was very clean and the towels were changed every day.
The only thing I would say - there were planters outside the property in the car park with dead plants - wouldnโt be difficult to replant and would look so much better....
โโ the great escapeโ wonderful grounds and views. Many family oriented facilities, new modern up to date rooms. Good dining options, fabulous spa with indoor outdoor pools not to mention bicycles.โ
โThe accommodation was very homely, and having home cooked breakfast was a lovely touch. Walking distance from the local shops and train station made it very convenient to get around and get what i needed on a daily basis. Highly recommended and will visit again.โ
