โStunning grounds and setting, excellent food and presentation, simply the best service from staff who went above and beyond. Only downside was I couldn't pay by Amex, the first hotel I've stayed in that doesn't accept it.โ
โWe found this wonderful farmhouse Guesthouse by chance, on the internet and so glad that we did. We stayed there for a few days/nights and NOTHING was too much trouble for the hosts, Sandra and Arthur. Indeed, these lovely people being 'natives' to Dartmoor, have a vast knowledge of how anything and everything happens on the moors. Their knowledge is also invaluable when you want to visit beautiful spots and places of interest within the countryside.
We would have NO HESITATION in staying in...

โThe unique thing about the Halfway House Inn is that it is truly dog friendly, no rip off ยฃ15 - 20 a night charge that we got at all the other hotels/pubs we stayed in on our 18 days away. We were made to feel welcome with our dog and not treated like 2nd class citizensโ

โGreat atmosphere. Lovely breakfast. Very clean and the smell was lovely when you walked in. My only issue is with Expedia itself as it didn't register my stay fro my points as I inputed my business email address. I was informed I would get the points after my stay so I hope this is the caseโ
