“Very clean room and bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. No noise from any other rooms. Tea and coffee making equipment and supplies inn the room. With the window open the noise from the motorway was quite loud and with the window closed it was quite stuffy. Rather small pillows. OK for an overnight stay.”

“I was a walker arriving at the Nag's Head at 15.30. I was warmly received and shown to my very comfortable room. Although the restaurant was closed on a Tuesday evening, i was provided with a wonderful Chinese meal at a very modest cost. I requested a continental breakfast which was fine. Pick Hill is a lovely small village with a long history, some of which is displayed in the ancient church. ”

“Our superior room was looking tired and we didn’t have all the amenities in our room that are described on this site ie slippers,robes,coffee maker,espresso - the listing needs to be updated as I believe we have been “missold” No lift and a lot of stairs to access our room Breakfast was not as good as expected - the cooked breakfast was poor, poached eggs were hard and there was only one choice of pastry on the continental buffet, only one choice of milk and only cubed sugar that you can’t...

“It was really nice to stay in Wagon and Horse. You can feel and enjoy real Yorkshire pub and culture with nice people in York. The room was so clean and the facility was also quite good.(It doesn't have bathtub in my room, but the power of shower was great not to care about the bathtub.) The breakfast was very good and enough to start good morning. It is located near the Clifford tower, and so easy to visit touristic places in York. Highly recommend this hotel and York!”

“The room wasnt very clean in bottom draw was a empty whiskey bottle and the windows had mould around them At evening we had our meal on the 1st course which was soup there was a bit of plastic found in it the staff couldnt apogise enough but didnt really make me enjoy rest of my tea leaving it ”
