"This hotel is scheduled for renovation as it is long in the tooth having served the area for over 40 years. The bungalows are charming. The staff can't be any nicer and the food was acceptable."

"This hotel is fit for purpose - the staff is super friendly and reception is staffed 24/7 due to the many late arrivals into Papeete airport. They have a fridge stocked with useful drink and food items to purchase at okay pricing. The room is dated but again, fit for purpose. There’s a fridge, kettle and coffee and tea (no milk).The aircon works well too. It is right across from the airport but DO NOT attempt to get there without a taxi. It used to just be one steep climb up from right across the airport but this has since been closed off. Having to walk all around the hotel and accessing it from the back with no clear signage and a steep climb up and then very steep downhill climb again to reach the hotel with a heavy suitcase is really unsafe. Taxis are not cheap but you have no other options! Expect to pay 2,000 XPF for a 2 min ride and make sure you have that handy in cash. To get food you’d have to take an expensive taxi again - round trip with the airport being the closest option. The hotel offers breakfast and cup noodles to use with the kettle in your room."

"Overall a nice place to stay with a few caveats. Easy check-in with the keys on the counter and quick response by email. We stayed in Aura where two rooms have AC and one does not - was not a problem for our stay. The third room has a fan. The rooms have plenty of open shelf space for clothes.The deck overlooking the lagoon and private pool were favorites. There was a nice breeze during our stay. Bring bug spray though (as with most places on island). It would have been nice to have hand towels and wash clothes, not just bath and beach towels. Also, some hooks in the bedroom to hang up towels or clothes. The shower has body wash and shampoo; some shelves for personal washing supplies would be helpful. There was a lot of roof noise one particular night from what we think were birds collecting seeds from the tree overhead. Our neighbors didn't have the same foilage so this may be specific to our Villa. It bothered some of us more than others, so if you are a light sleeper, the islands of Tahiti in general can be noisy with dogs, roosters and other wildlife. The WiFi worked well but we had to request the password. This proved difficulty since we had spotty personal service. There were chocolates left for us at check-in which was a nice welcome.
