“Arrived on a work trip on Halloween and the hotel was superbly decorated. Staff were scary (in a friendly halloween way 🙂). Food was excellent, views from dining room great. ”

“Had a great stay this weekend. The facilities are great. The restaurant and bar staff are excellent and very helpful and efficient. The food was good. The night porter also assisted with pick up and drop off from the lodges to the restaurant on Friday as it was very wet so that was appreciated. Only a couple of things that could be improved, the bed in the standard room is a small double so I felt like I was going to fall out. “The staff - each and every one of them. From the night check in staff to the lovely hostess at our breakfast to the dear gentleman serving us drinks n dinner at the bar, each one was so friendly and gave us great service. I am extremely happy I chose to come here. The rooms were of course huge and clean and luxurious but I absolutely loved the staff! ”

“This is possibly the most charming hotels and place I can remember staying. It’s an old building in a harsh Scottish environment and that is part of its charm. If you want pristine decoration it’s not for you. If you want excellent hospitality, fantastic staff and walls full of the owner’s original art, go. Walk the Crinan trail - the view from the viewpoint is one of the best on a clear day (it is a steep walk though). A genuine Scottish gem.”
