"Convenient location approximately 25 minutes walk to the city centre along the river. Nice and quiet. Upgraded to breakfast for £13.50 pp. Booked 2 triple rooms for £350 (without breakfast) which was one of the cheapest options for a city stay which seems quite expensive but first time in Newcastle and will definitely be back"

"Stayed here on a business trip. Excellent place to stay. Great service and the food was very nice and affordable. Very nice room and great location! Parking was easy enough too (sadly an extra charge though) The only thing I would personally say is the air con wasn’t amazing. I noticed I started coughing and once I realised it was potentially the air con I turned it off and stopped. Overall 9/10 experience would definitely recommend!"

"Beautifully maintained Castle and grounds. Room was exceptional, makes you feel like a king or queen. Nice quiet bar to have a drink, great dining room and quality food. Great cooked to order English breakfast. Everything was great. It set a stand for us for the rest of our castle hotel search. I would stay here anytime. One suggestion though is to have soothing, calming music at breakfast, as background music, instead of 'hit parade'."

"The water output in thw shower is not as strong as we would like it to be. The sink is clogged with hair from previous guests. We stayed for 2 nights and they did not refill our rooms with water. They took our small towels on the first day of cleaning but did not replace it with new ones."
