“Great location! walk downtown shops and restaurants . Could walk a mile to tanglewood if feeling brave. I did not but others staying at hotel did to avoid concert traffic. The inn keeper seemed a bit overwhelmed and perhaps not enough staff to turn over the inn for arriving guests . He was in communication with me and trying his best. “Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. The grounds are so beautiful . There were a number of lovely places inside and out for sitting and relaxing. We loved the welcome drink and a bottle of wine ( choice of red or white) to have in our room. We enjoyed it on our balcony with its lovely views of the main house and the yard. Unfortunately we couldn’t attend the cognac tasting as we were busy. I would love to come to the Cornell again-and again!”

“This Econolodge has an excellent location. For a very reasonable price, you are close to all the culture of Lenox and the rest of the Berkshires and you have Lake Laurel and October Mountain a short distance away. It's on a main road, so it's very easy to get where you're going, but traffic at night is minimal, so it's easy to get a peaceful rest. “The location was convenient to so much of what makes the Berkshires special. We were minutes from Tanglewood, under an hour to Bash Bish Falls & MASS MOCA amongst other places to visit. The staff was efficient and very friendly. Our ice maker wasn't working & maintenance came within minutes to replace it. The units were spacious and clean but dated with some worn out features. Some of the soft goods could use replacing (pillows), upholstery on couches was torn in places and paint was peeling on...

“The room we had was spacious, and there are nice outdoor sitting areas. Breakfast is placed in your refrigerator and in a basket the day before. If you are hoping for a charming Berkshire bed and breakfast with a cooked breakfast and interaction with your host, you will be disappointed. If you are satisfied with an unusually nice motel, you will be very happy."”
