As expected with APA hotels, the room was tiny but clean, comfortable, and affordable—perfect if you're travelling solo. The bed was firm, which is typical for most hotels in Japan. This was my second time staying here, and overall it’s a good option for a short stay.

The hotel room was really clean and tidy. The staff were very nice. Breakfast was great with healthy options as well. There is a Family Mart store next door and lots of restaurants to choose from. The only thing which I felt concerned about was that the people in the area didn’t seem very friendly towards international tourists. While the location might be great for locals, it didn’t feel the same way for people from overseas. When my partner and I got off at the train station on Sunday, there was a protest outside the station against immigration. We had no idea and felt quite unsafe as we witnessed a near physical altercation. While this is not the hotel’s fault or doing, I think it is important for overseas travellers to be aware and be prepared.

Consistent APA Hotel quality

As we stayed a few different APA Hotels, we are happy about an overall quality of their product (hardware & software) -- although we observed a minor difference in service. For example, another APA Hotel we stayed accommodated people before the check-in time starts whereas this APA Hotel asked us to wait until exactly 3 PM for check-in (no complaint BTW). Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay and quite happy about their service. Especially, on demand room cleaning was great as they hang a plastic bag with new towels and necessary goods every day when we chose not to clean the room. Moreover, a small refrigerator in the room was great and microwave at the 1st floor was very useful. Of course, because we are in the middle of Tokyo, the room was small -- good for a solo person however quite honestly pretty tight for two. Furthermore, since the hotel has 12 stories high, we sometimes waited quite a long time to catch the elevator (people for daily room cleaning carrying a bulky stuffs also use the same elevator). However, these "minor" issues can easily be offset by the positive side of this hotel. We have no hesitation to pick another APA Hotel when we returned to Japan in the future. Thank you very much.

Good location. Close (within 10 minutes walk) to Ochanomizu, Yushima, and sushi to-chi stations. Convenience store next door. Fair number of restaurants including a good French place just down the street. Large temples and shrines nearby. Rooms are tiny but clean. Small refrigerator with in room. Very complicated sink/shower fixture that took a while to figure out. Staff friendly. On the downside, staff seems to know little about the surrounding area and I got towels delivered each night although I told them I didn’t need new ones. That said, affordable and just fine if all you need is a place to sleep and will be spending most of your time out and about.
