Loved everything about this hotel. Stayed close to 2 weeks, solo. Room was clean, except for this awkward corner behind the bed which was dusty (I didn’t put it against them). Bed was mostly comfortable, you get a single pillow that isn’t the greatest but it works.
There’s free ramen after maybe 9pm and it was pretty good. Free yogurt drink at the onsens in the morning, and free frozen treats (dairy free popsicle and chocolate creamsicle bar things) in the afternoon.
The onsens were great. The place was clean, women onsen has a special code provided at check-in for safety purposes. Lockers for your stuff, towel drop bins, hair dryers and toiletries, hair brushes and other misc items, two onsens (hot and extra hot), steam room, maybe 8-10 showers within the onsen, bathroom and maybe 4-5 sinks/prep stations. There are also two washer/dryers within the onsen (in addition to machines outside the onsen) if you wanted to get laundry done while at the onsen.
This location is by far one of my favourites, and I’ve stayed in big cities. There are too many convenience stores to count, including one right at the entrance and right across the street. There are a ton of GOOD grocery stores where you can buy fruits, vegetables, hot or cold food items, drinks, etc. for good prices all within a 5-10 minute walk. One is right across the street. Beautiful walkways, gardens walking distance, even the touristy baseball diamond is about 10 min away. Curry restaurant within 1-2 minutes.
