More than perfect for family stay in Tokyo. EVERYTHING you can shop in 15min walk, and find great dining and take out foods. We love having local take out dinner at spacious dining area in room in pajama. Kids loved bunk bed and spacious bathroom. We wish they can give good rate for 3-6 weeks stay, then we will come back every year.

Great Room. Great Location. Friendly Staffs

We had an amazing stay in Mimaru Tokyo Ueno Okachimachi. Room is of good sized (60m2) for our family of 6 with an infant. Clean and comfortable. Walking distance to few metro station. The airport Skyliner is 10mins walk away too. Lots of eatery nearby. Shopping mall and street shopping are just opposite the hotel. Front counter is very helpful. We met Mr Don and Miss Aoi on duty when we check in. We left our baby's set in the hotel at Mt Fuji area. They both take great effort to assist us to contact the hotel in Mt Fuji and make arrangement to send the items to Mimaru. We are grateful for their help. Thankyou Other front counter staffs we met on other days were also friendly and welcoming. Will sure stay here again !!!

This property is located within 10 minutes of Ueno JR LINE and a shorter walk to other subway lines. Located in a quiet street but so close to department stores, shopping, supermarkets and coffee shops. A 10 minute walk to Akihabara which is the hub for Manga and anime. Staff were so very polite, and helpful. English speaking. This property is highly recommended.

We had the most amazing stay with our family of four. The staff were super friendly and were able to communcate with excellent English (our Japanese is minimal). The staff from front of house through to the cleaners were all lovely and made us feel like we were at home for the duration of our two week stay. Spacious apartment with everything we needed for our stay. Mulitple train lines all within a few minutes walk with excellent dining options all around the neighborhood. Close to great shopping at Ameyoko and top food choices everywhere. Absolutely perfect location. We are already planning to stay here again for our next trip. Arigato gozaimasu!

Loved our stay at Mimaru Ueno Okachimachi. Highlights below: Room Our family of four had a comfortable and enjoyable stay at Mimaru Ueno Okachimachi. The room was simple but perfectly adequate, with a small kitchen and fridge that came in handy during our trip. The kids absolutely loved the bunk beds, and the dining table was a great spot for organizing and displaying our souvenirs. Service The service was exceptional. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, offering excellent recommendations for food and sightseeing. A special shoutout to Dong, Sara, and Moe for their amazing assistance when I lost a bag on the Tokyo Metro. Moe went above and beyond, contacting Metro lost and found and confirming my bag had been recovered and turned in at Shibuya station. Thanks to their quick and efficient help, I was able to retrieve my bag within just 2.5 hours. I’m so grateful for their dedication and support! Amenities The coin-operated laundry service on the first floor was a convenient feature, though the dryers could use an upgrade for better efficiency. Location The location of the hotel was fantastic, with plenty of food and shopping options nearby. It’s centrally located near two metro lines and the JR lines, making it incredibly easy to get around Tokyo. Overall, Mimaru Ueno Okachimachi offered a wonderful stay for our family. Highly recommend it for anyone traveling to Tokyo!

We LOVED this hotel! We've stayed at a lot of different hotels in Japan and this may be our new favorite. Close to a lot of shops and restaurants. A few-minute walk to the nearest JR station (Okachimachi) which is one stop away from JR Ueno Station, which is also very close and walkable. We had coffee and pastries almost daily at a cafe across the street (diagonally), and dinner at several fantastic restaurants in the area. Our kids loved shopping and seeing baby pandas at the nearby Ueno Zoo. The staff was very helpful and professional and our family of 5 had a lovely time. We stayed in a "one bedroom" apartment but it's more like two bedrooms because there is a room (with a door) with two twin beds, and another area/room (with no door, but a screen that covers most of the area) with 4 twin beds. Laundry facilities are easily accessible and inexpensive. (No need to bring your own detergent.) Even though it's in the middle of a big city, it's very quiet. We hardly heard any outside noise, and the blackout shades helped us sleep in in the mornings. Fantastic place that we highly recommend!

The room was dusty. I have my electronic devices placed on the bedboard, and every day, I find a layer of white dust covering them! I’m not sure where the dust originated from, but it made me quite uncomfortable. I even borrowed a vacuum cleaner from the lobby, but it lacked strong suction and required frequent filter cleaning. Despite these minor issues, the overall facility is decent. However, I hope they can improve the carpet cleaning service. That’s all for now.

We love this MIMARU and its employees. From the very moment you check-in the staff makes you feel welcome. Their restaurant board and games makes it fun to get to know the neighborhood. Seira, Amu and Dong are so friendly and always willing to help or give travel advice. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, like a display in the elevator introducing each staff member and a Tokyo Bingo game with prizes. The location of the hotel is perfect- close to so many train lines and shopping! Rooms are clean and good size.
