Great location, with easy access to Senso-ji temple, food, shopping and transportation. The ryokan’s staff is very kind. Rooms and communal areas are clean.
We had a lovely stay at the Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu. It was a peaceful oasis close to a very busy tourist area. The rooms were clean and well provisioned. I highly recommend Ryokan Asakusa Shigetsu.
Relaxing room. Polite and helpful staff and nice facilities. Extremely close to Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise Street. Perfect location! Would definitely recommend!
We really loved this hotel. The onsen was lovely. The staff were fantastic going above and beyond to make us comfortable. The room was clean. The amenities were fantastic. The coffe in the lobby was very good. The location was great for being in the heart of everything. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a traditional Japanese experience.
I stayed here recently, and honestly—this place delivered everything.
The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, the room was beautiful and spotless, and all the facilities were top-tier. The on-site onsen was such a highlight too; it gave me that real, cozy ryokan vibe without even leaving the hotel. I absolutely loved it.
The location was super convenient as well, making everything easy and stress-free.
I’m 100% coming back on my next trip. This hotel is now officially on my “must-stay-again” list.
The hospitality and kindness from the staff here were excellent. The baths were clean and very relaxing to use, and we will definitely stay here again!!!

Good location, excellent customer service, traditional settings, very happy with stay.
Perfect base to start our honeymoon trip in Japan. Our room with pagoda view was a delight and the daily onsen with views of pagoda / skytower were heavenly after long days exploring the city.
Great place to stay. I was initially disappointed to learn after booking that they no longer serve food, but as it turns out there are many great placed to eat nearby. They kindly held our bags for the day and graciously allowed us to pack and reorganize ourselves in the back area before heading to the airport. They extended themselves beyond what was expected in order to help us find an accessible way to the transit. Highly recommend this place, would stay again.
highlight of our trip. beautiful property, big suite, beautiful bath. center of many activities including shopping, temples, ninja museum, tea shops etc. Would stay again!
Easy access to public transportation, food, shopping and historic landmarks. Right in the middle of a busy district but still quiet enough to sleep at night.
This place is so beautiful. I had a very good experience here with a fantastic public bath. Also, the location of this ryokan is perfect, near Sensoji, which is a very famous and old Buddhist temple. A very good traditional experience.
I can’t say enough good things about this ryokan! This was our favorite hotel we stayed at in all 3 cities we stayed in Japan. First of all, the location is great. Walking distance to many restaurants, konbini, activities, shopping, temple and more. The staff is exceptionally kind and helpful, on our last day we even had the gentleman working the front desk help find our lost taxi driver and lead him to the hotel on foot in the pouring rain. The front desk workers explain the entire hotel and how the rooms work upon arrival. The rooms are traditional and very clean. The onsen is more of a tub versus a mineral hot spring but still lovely facility that has a TATTOO FRIENDLY onsen bath. The baths aren’t private but there is a sign on the outside indicating whether or not it’s in use and I think people will avoid for that reason because I had it to myself for an hour. They provide traditional tatami robe to wear around the hotel. Free snacks and drinks during certain hours. We really had such a great time here, pricing was so affordable as well. Highly recommend!
Cute little hotel right in the heart of Asakusa.
3 blocks from Senso-ji, close to great food and shopping and Ginza line subway.
Nice ofuro (though small) with a view of Sky tower. Only concern was the noise at night.
Very friendly staff.
