“We liked everything about it but had problems at the dinner we ate there which we think were down to staff errors . The food service was very slow and our main course took 1 hour 30 mins from arrival . The manager did what she could by reducing the cost for us”

“Friendly, clean and beautifully situated hotel. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Excellent food, but beware the huge portions! Highly recommended.”

“We stayed for two nights in the Marrakesh suite and loved it. A huge comfy bed, air conditioning, mini fridge, lots of storage and a large TV. Upstairs is a large jacuzzi bathroom complete with bathrobes and slippers. The host, Debbie was fantastic, she always seemed to be on duty and was very helpful. Breakfast was very good with a huge selection and could be taken in the dining room or in your suite.”

“What a suprise , I don’t think the this hotel was advertised well enough, a beautiful property in large well maintained grounds, friendly , polite staff, good breakfast and so clean, nowhere was overlooked, I will recommend and definitely come again.”

“Great for parking. Breakfast fantastic+. Clean room and all staff very welcoming. Couldn't fault anything.”

“We had an exceptional experience. Food both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Staff we were great.”

“Lovely stay in newly renovated en-suite room - freshly cooked excellent breakfast. Delicious reasonably priced food. Comfy bed, quiet, warm. Beautiful village and you’re right in the centre here.”

I did complain, and the noise did stop after some time, but it took a significant amount of time to get to sleep even after that. The pillows were also not to our preference, being extremely soft, but we didn’t raise this with staff (as we only stayed one night) so we don’t know if there were any...

“A beautiful room, so relaxing. We loved it all. Only shame was that always greeted with empty reception, but didn’t have to wait too long x”

“Lovely B&B a short drive from Whitby. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was perfect as well.”

“Great stay”

“We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings”
