“We stayed here just as a stop over and it was a very small and low double bed in a huge room. It wasnt the cleanest so I was glad I had slippers with me. Shower ceiling was too low for a 6'2 person so my partner had to crouch. The main parts of the hotel looked nice on arrival, but we didnt make use of it. Nice and quiet despite the location.”

“Our room was upgraded on arrival, and the room was perfect, floor to ceiling windows with a perfect view of the lake. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. The spa was lovely, The only downside was the building work going on outside but they seemed to keep disruption to a minimum”

“Hands down, my favourite hotel that I've stayed at. The staff are the best, the rooms are clean and welcoming, the breakfasts are superb, the bar has a nice cosy and relaxed vibe and it's a good location if you're planning to hike around the Lakes. I've stayed here 7 times in the last 12 months and i keep going back. I never want to go anywhere else.”

“The hotel is in the beautiful city of Grasmere. There was limited parking even though online advertised available parking. When I booked online, the family room showed two beds. When we arrived, there was only one. The plumbing was very noisy and the shower was very narrow and hard to use. The bed was not comfortable at all. ”

“This was a very friendly place with nice food. It is on a very busy main road so opening windows at night is noisy. Bathroom needed a good clean and some maintenance, new grouting also some hooks would help in the bathroom.”

The food was freshly cooked quickly served and a great range of options. Breakfast - amazing and included in price -”
