“It was fine, nice surroundings and quiet”

“A superb stay. Very friendly. Lovely property in the heart of the town.”

“Smallish room as expected but we'll appointed, clean and in great location. Took us roughly 15 mins wall through a park, over bridge and alongside river into town. We were lucky to have the limited on site parking space. Room was quiet, bed low but comfy. Nice stay. Have only given 3 stars for staff as we actually did not need to meet any. So, not applicable.”

“Great location for a place to stay in Shrewsbury. Abbey Foregte is close enough to the town centre for walking in, but quiet enough for staying. Parking was plentiful at the weekend. Room had everything you needed - plenty of tea & coffee, as well as corkscrew and wine glasses 😉. Would recommend staying here.”

“The hotel is spotlessly clean, staff very friendly and give good advice of the area. It is a lovely walk into the town too. The food was exceptional everything of choice you could possibly wish for.”

“Loved our stay here. Very quiet room, clean and cosy. Fabulous staff, especially Shannon. Good food too. Highly recommend.”

“Was a pleasure staying at Hawkstone Park Hotel. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and welcoming, only thing was the parking. Seemed like the people coming to play golf were parking in the hotel car park. But other than that it was a nice place to stay”

“Quirky building which makes a change from modern chain hotels. Rooms are very spacious. Breakfast is available and very good quality although as you have to wait for it to be cooked, it's not ideal if you are in a rush to get away in the morning.”

“Would have been a 5 star review but I asked the first night if staff could kindly remind other residents to move away from the front steps of the building whilst smoking kate at night as it comes into the bedroom window. Second night I had to ask 3 different gentlemen to please move away as their smoke was keeping me awake and affecting my asthma. Two were very apologetic and moved but the 3rd I got abuse from and it was not nice😞.”
