“I really enjoyed my stay at Gounod Hotel in Nice. The location was perfect — it’s right between the train station and the beach, so it was very convenient for getting around the city. The hotel has recently been renovated, so everything felt clean and fresh. Before my trip, I emailed the hotel with some questions, and their responses were very clear and professional, which gave me a good impression even before arriving. The room itself was very comfortable. I especially liked the large bathtub...

“Nice breakfast buffet, but no parking space.”

“First off I found it to be good value for money considering what most other hotels were charging for the same nights that I stayed. Location is very handy for the station next door making a day trip to Monaco very easy indeed. It is also walkable (15/20 mins) to the tram 2 stop for the airport tram. The immediate surroundings are a bit sketchy but I arrived at night and walked from the tram stop and it was actually all fine. There are some questionable people hanging about/shouting etc at times....
