I’m a UT Austin alumni and this was a visit to Austin after 20 some yrs with my college son. The hotel had a sense of class and its connections with the univ brought me back memories of UT days.
As for thr accommodation, it was spacious in and out and overall it was nice. However, I’d like to mention several things as to help improve the site.
1) The room was not so quiet — street noise and chatters from the corridor were transferred transparently.

“I was very disappointed that the bar was closed and there was no fine dining on offer. The room was wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were very nice. The staff were great. I loved staying at the Driskill but was disappointed by the lack of amenities. ”
“This property is clean, updated and modern. The rooms and lounge areas are excellent. The customer service was great, and all staff were super helpful, including security and valet staff. Only qualm is that (especially if you’re a female), just be vigilant if walking in the neighborhood, especially at night. ”
“Since it is made of wood made by furniture, I was very surprised that a spoon-sized cockroach entered between the floor and the gap between the furniture. I'm from Korea, but there's no big cockroach in Korea. It was at least 3 times bigger! It's noisy around, but it's rather attractive because its wonderful bars and atmosphere to enjoy of Austin. The room is big and comfortable. The bedding is clean and the cushion is good.

“Everything was pretty perfect with the exception of the comfort of the bed. It was surprisingly non-inviting and the plastic mattress covering made it less so with the crackling every time I moved.
