Called the "Little White House" due to the fact that President Franklin D. Roosevelt spent quite a bit of time here. The nearby Warm Springs brought some relief to the pain he endured due to polio. It was in this house that he died on April 12, 1945, shortly after having been elected President of the United States for his fourth term.

The lodge was peaceful and clean. The view was lovely. The location was an easy short trip to warm Springs on the right and Pine Mountain on the left. I am looking forward to going back to staying here many times again in the future, especially in the fall.

Beautiful hotel! I stay in lots of hotels. This one is different. The rooms have a view of the countryside. On a clear day you can watch the sun come up. The pool is in the middle. I wish the town would have more restaurants. It has only two and one of them is open from 11.00a.m.to 2.30 p.m.
