"Firstly, this hotel is in the perfect location for access to the old town, and only a few minutes to the new town. It's right next to Waverley train station, so if you're traveling from the airport, the Airlink 100 which leaves outside of the airport is perfect as it drops you off 2 mins from the hotel. Upon arrival on the 7th floor reception, we were offered free champagne and we managed to get into our room an hour early. Great start to the holiday. We were upgraded to a Vista room on floor 6 and it had everything you could wish for. Immaculate throughout with a free mini bar which is topped up daily, Dyson hairdryer, slippers, robes, clothes steamer, hair straighteners, Nespresso coffee machine etc. They have you covered for all of your needs. The bed was also very comfortable and the rainfall shower was powerful. The breakfast is spot on, with a choice of full English, continental, cereal, fruit, and the staff are first rate. It's a 10 minutes walk to the castle uphill on Royal Mile, and about the same waking down to Hollyrood House. The Royal Britannia was our pick of the tours, and the tram stop is right outside Harvey Nichols which was about a quick stroll past the train station and into the new town. The tour is amazing and you have a hand held audio guide included in the price. All in all, a really lucky pick from Google and you won't be disappointed with this top class hotel, that has a champagne bar with views across the city. "

"Lovely staff. Good location near the centre. Mattress protector was covered in blood. We had to ask for it to be changed. Not just a spot almost a murder scene. Repeatedly requested another duvet as two of us were sharing a double bed staff kept saying yes but one never materialised . Surely an establishment of this size should have a spare duvet. The room we were given was absolutely freezing with a gale blowing through the window just at head height as you lay in bed and as the room was so small there was no way of moving away from this. we had a terrible night sleep. We were removed to a twin room which was more acceptable and we could at least move around. The ‘cosy’ rooms are very, very small. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the foyer but the coffee had always run out and the hot water would always run out so it wasn’t really very satisfactory. The staff are trying their best, but they can’t really check people in and be constantly refilling coffee. I cannot recommend this hotel and I would never stay there again."

"This is my first time at a hostel and I must say, I wouldn't have had a better experience. This place is right in the heart of everything just steps of the Royal Mile. Rhe staff was super helpful, the vibe was perfect. I will absolutely come back!"
