And the hotel has a free airport shuttle that I used to return to the airport. All very convenient for the needs of my trip. "We were there in May, 2024. The rooms are a bit old but they're good & have all the basics. They provided a mattress topper on the day we arrived when the bed was too hard. They provided us mosquito spray as the mosquitos are pretty bad given the time of year. They also provided free scooter parking for the scooter we hired. Would definitely return if staying in Khao Lak again. "

"Maikhao hotel was in a convenient location…less than a mile from Maikhao beach and with plenty of dining options in the vicinity. The property was clean, but older and they were low staff - no bell man. Nonetheless, it is safe and clean enough for families."

"This was a clean and convenient hotel to the airport. I needed to check in late on New Years Eve and leave early New Years Morning. I called before to arrange the check in. Someone was there to check me in and the driver did the free shuttle to the airport was ready when I walked out. It was a five minute drive to the airport. Perfect for my short term needs. "
