“The room was spotless and very comfortable. Obviously the Hotel is in transition. By and by rooms are being prepared to welcome guests. Only 11 rooms are available to book at this point. The price per room is unbelievably low. Especially since the electricity bill must be enormous. The hotel was overheated and lights were on in almost every hall, lounge and room and stayed on during the night. Heating as well as the lights. No consideration was given to the ecological impact. ”

“This breakfast was probably the best deal that we got during our trip to Great Britain. If you pre-pay 10 pounds you get all the food you want, including fresh fruit, two different styles of eggs and an assortment of breads. Everything was fresh and delicious.”

“Booked the West End as a half ways stop when was up in Alness for a cup football match. We checked in quite late and let the hotel know, the room was good size and nice and cosy, the kitchen and bar was still open and the food was lovely, freshly cooked and piping hot. We added on breakfast and when we arrived and it was the same lovely fresh breakfast. Never caught the name of the lady who was on breakfast service but she was lovely - very talkative and attentive. Would def stay again ”

“The rooms and common areas are opulent and luxurious. The grounds are wonderfully manicured with exceptional views out to the sea. There is even a haunted castle ruin on site! All the staff are wonderful and friendly, especially Andrea who looked after my family and I on our short stay. Without a doubt, one of the prettiest hotels in Scotland! ”
