“Disappointing.”

“The staff were great but unfortunately the hotel was pretty dirty in areas and needing some updating especially in the “historic” side. The bathroom in the lobby area had hair on the floors making me wonder how long ago it was cleaned and my room on the historic side had dirty floors as well ( I stepped on a cherry stem and found stuff under the bed) the shared bathroom had the shower wall shampoo and conditioner dispensers but they were basically empty even after the bathroom was cleaned. ...

“It was one of the best lodge we chose during this one week vacation to Alaska. We will go back again if we visit there and recommend highly. The best part is that they allow us to use their kayak free. The Bear Creek Lake was peaceful and breathtaking scenery. The host is very friendly and professionally manage the Bed & Breakfast. “Our room, number 8, was very comfortable. We had enough area for our things, but our traveling companions’ room was very tight. Our bed was very comfortable and the shades and curtains made the room very dark, which was so helpful with so much sunshine in Alaska. It was nice to be able to use the kitchen refrigerator and be able to wash dishes. The breakfast was delicious and served in a timely manner. Please know there are two flights of stairs to manage in getting your suitcases upstairs....

“This is a small historical building, ghost legends and has so much potential. It is extremely well located in Seward AK, downtown, and walkable even to the harbor area, but free town shuttle can take you there also. (1.5 ish miles?) also, a great classic everything plus great salmon restaurant across the street. But the hotel is in disrepair and needs 'some new things.' They must not have the funds to upgrade, but would book out in the summer season for sure if they did. The owner or host was...
