“Comfortable cosy stay in lovely, clean cottage which is dog friendly. Situated minutes from shops meaning you can easily get your essentials or grab a drink in a lovely pub. Nice location and suitable base to drive to other parts of the region. The cottage was clean and presented as described. WiFi was excellent throughout ( I know that’s required for some, but not us) Has a small back garden, which is gated and perfect for dogs to stretch their legs.”

“Lovely accommodation in a great village. Good good but a little expensive. Hotel room was comfortable and modernised but bathroom was a little tired although it had a great shower with plenty of power and hot water. Drinks provided in room. Great price for good rooms.”

“It was really nice to stay in Wagon and Horse. You can feel and enjoy real Yorkshire pub and culture with nice people in York. The room was so clean and the facility was also quite good.(It doesn't have bathtub in my room, but the power of shower was great not to care about the bathtub.) The breakfast was very good and enough to start good morning. It is located near the Clifford tower, and so easy to visit touristic places in York. Highly recommend this hotel and York!”

“Room facilities were very good and clean all on ground level and you can park right outside yours, i had a friendly welcome and quickly recieved my key, breakfast was good with cereals and cooked also, checkout was easy too i had a very pleasant stay.”

“Clean room but thin walls. Basement room was a bit stuffy so windows should be kept open when in room. Staff is super helpful. Overall a pleansant stay. ”

“Very helpful staff who provided excellent service and the room was comfortable. However the hotel patrons were rowdy and public areas like the toilets in the common area were dirty. The people in the room next to us were loudly talking into the early hours of the night which was so frustrating, so we didn't sleep well. But not the fault of the hotel. ”
