The resort is in the best location with breathtaking 180 degree views of the dramatic pacific coast. The room was clean and very comfortable with a cozy fireplace. The onsite restaurant and lounge are excellent choices for dining breakfast, lunch, or dinner while gazing at the incredible ocean views along Big Sur. I loved my stay here!
The views were spectacular. Dining in the Pacific Edge Restaurant was good. Be prepared to walk several steps & uphill to get to the rooms & parking, but it's worth it!
Love the staff. Always excellent, especially the valet staff and restaurant staff. We have stayed here before and it’s just a beautiful property with spacious rooms and amazing views. I just would prefer higher quality toilet paper (lol!)
This hotel has a beautiful scenery. The service was excellent. I would love to come back.

This was our “splurge” hotel for our trip. The guy at the front desk was not friendly. Other staff were friendly. The restaurant was closed on tuesdays for dinner. Really? You have this amazing resort and you close the restaurant?? We arrived early and planned to use some amenities while waiting on our room to be ready. Went to the spa to inquire. The doors were locked and there was a number on the door to text, so I did and never heard back. Overall, not happy with our stay. I wouldn’t spend the money at this hotel. Stay in Carmel and visit this place for lunch if you want to see it.

Amazing balcony view, clean rooms. Beautiful breathtaking property ocean views. This is my favorite vacation stay I have ever experienced. Jacuzzi overlooking the ocean on a hill.
The room was clean, the staff was all quite friendly and helpful, and the views from the room were spectacular. Only problem was that at night the room became quite cold even with extra blankets our first two nights in spite of adjustments made by one of the employees. The third night, our last night, the temperature in the room was fine.
