"The staff was nice. Themission of the historic building turns hotel, is to maintain a relaxing vibe, so no television, no refrigerator, no elevators. Climate control was efficient. A problem was with checking out and their confusion on how to handle a booking that is paid for through Hotels com. Supposedly, it is a new computer system and they'll fix it. "Hotel was noticeably old and there was a lot of active construction items laying around. Lots of junk items laying around. Under the awning there was an old drink machine laid on its side being used as a catch all for empty cans and other trash. At one time I told the room attendant that we did t need total room service but if we could just get two towels and would Be good. She told me that ALL the towel were used up and she didn’t have any more to get me any. I must say this upset me that “there were NO MORE TOWELS at the property”? So I told her to go to one of the empty rooms and get me two, which she did. Other than that it was a place for me to sleep out of the rain."

"A hidden gem!! A wonderful hotel along the river. Just a short little drive to downtown Dillsboro. Dillsboro offered a great brewery, pizza spot, nice steakhouse and an incredible Bbq restaurant. We stayed 5 nights. I had to make 2 reservations to accommodate the five nights. The first night I paid for a balcony room but was very disappointed they put us on the first floor. The rest of the trip we were on the 3rd floor. Great views of the river, wildlife and canoers. Breakfast was mediocre, but average for a free breakfast. Jessie, one of the receptionist, was very helpful. We will be back."
