"I stayed here for 7 nights while visiting Phnom Penh. During the week I went to Siem Reap for two nights but kept my room at The Plantation as the free nights offer I'd booked made this viable. The hotel consists of a number of 1960s/70s New Khmer-style buildings built around a beautifully restored 1930s French colonial villa. My room was on the second floor with a balcony. The room was very spacious, bright and spotlessly clean and had great air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The location is excellent and there are a number of great bars, cafes and a laundry close by. There is an ATM across the road from the main entrance. Everything you need to see is within walking distance or no more than a 10 minute tuk tuk ride away. The breakfast buffet was included in the rate and offered a good choice of Western and Asian options. Served in the poolside restaurant by friendly and efficient staff, it was a great way to start the day. Staff throughout the hotel were king and courteous. The hotel is also home to a French-Khmer fine dining restaurant, La Pergola, which was superb and I'd highly recommend."

"The gym, pool, jacuzzi and sky bar are not 24 hours access. Also the jacuzzi says it opens at 3pm but they actually don't start it up until after 5pm, like wise with the sky bar area. The pool is small unlike the image where they exaggerate the size and it seems bigger. In our room, the cushions on the sofa had fluid stains which made us question Hygiene. The most concerning things was, on the first day when we came left and back to our room, the cleaners cleaned it but it oddly had a strong smoking odor like someone smoked in our room or a smoker came into our room. They also claim we lost a small towel upon check out, so instead of disputing it, we said we will just pay for it which was another odd thing. We paid alot of money for this place and thought it was a 5 star but it was really a 2-3 star mediocre hotel. You can find better with the price paid."

"Staff were very kind, restaurant food was reasonably priced and delicious, rooftop pool and seating are lovely and offer great views of the city. Room was very clean and spacious. Easy to get around everywhere via Tuktuk but not a ton to do within reasonable walking distance. "

"My third hotel in Cambodia and it was the best I stayed at. The room was spacious, clean, and the staff were very helpful. It was easy to arrange transportation to the airport. I didn't use the amenities or go to the roof top which I sort of wish I had. My room faced the street and I didn't hear any street noise from my room once the parties from the Khmer New Years celebrations calmed down. Seems to be a quiet street any other time of the year. Great location. Close to many sites and easily walkable. One invaluable bonus was they had a hot and cold water bottle refilling station in the lobby. "
