We loved the setting, right in the heart of Long Melford within walking distance of notable historic buildings (Melford and Kentwell Halls, the Medieval Church) and local sops, pus and restaurants. The Mil itself is perfect!

Couldn't be better in anyway. Room was very clean and updated, hosts were friendly and breakfast was excellent, especially the French Toast with fruit compote on it.

I loved everyone and everything except the hand soap. The proprietors were exceptionally helpful. The food was excellent. I would definitely recommend the chudleigh.

The Marquis has just completed renovations, and while there were a few teething problems, the staff was wonderful. They could not have done more to make our stay wonderful. Special shout out to David, Ryann, Lucy, Emma, Kate, Annabelle, Carmin, and everyone else we came in contact with, all were wonderful. The spa and pool were not even mentioned as they just opened, the facility is one of the best we ever visited, again with the staff to match. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Excellent One night stopover whilst visiting for an event in the area , I arrived at 8 pm & ordered a very well kept local Ale , A Sirloin steak which was delicious washed down with an excellent merlot . The annexed accommodation was spacious and very comfortable with luxurious bedding , The ensuite bathroom was very well laid out with a huge shower that was excellent . Breakfast was delicious and was cooked by the charming owner.

Our stay was absolutely amazing! Special Thanks to Diane for the awesome breakfasts and the super, cozy, comfy room. The attention to detail was superb, rooms were spotless, beds and pillows were just right. We will be sure to return to this hidden gem!

Outstanding. Everything and all staff and waters all are outstanding. No words can describe my satisfaction. Probably the best sleep i got since a very long time in an organic heritage hotel very quiet and warm town. All TV and coffee bar are modern and clean and convenient. I really liked the biscuits made by the chief in the room with a cup of coffee ar 6:00 am overlooking a peaceful and historic 1600s downtown. We had a fabulous experience at Channels Lodge. The location in a peaceful country setting, the room with up-to-date facilities and clean, well appointed and lots of electrical connections. The staff so welcoming. From this time on this will be our destination when we visit relatives nearby.

What a great option for a traditional English B&B. Easy check-in, breakfast was delicious, and the grounds were beautiful. Highly recommended and a great value!
