“We just returned from our stay at Baha Mar, and overall we had a great time, but there are definitely a few things I'd want future guests to know. The biggest downside was the food. It was extremely expensive and, in most cases, just wasn't very good. On top of the menu prices, everything had a 15% service charge plus a 10% VAT added, which made meals much more expensive than expected. Even a piña colada was around $20, and surprisingly, they weren't even consistent from one bar to another on...

“The hotel is fine. Good location in Paradise Island at a walking distance to Cabbage Island and Atlantis. There is entertainment (dance classes, karaoke, song title guess, live bands) and games (checkers, chess, pool, ping pong and others). The swimming pool is not to big but is it ok. The hotel is by a small lagoon and the ocean. Food was good at the buffet and a la carte restaurant. Good experience overall. My first in an all inclusive hotel.”

“All beach chairs were broken. Everytime we went for beach towels they didn’t have any. Including first thing in the morning. The staff could care less and sent us to the next hotel to retrieve some towels. Property not cleaned up. Left over cups and towels left in ground day after day. The one and only lunch place at the reef ran out of food our first day and the second day ran out of salads. Only breakfast option was Starbucks.”

“Overall the hotel is nice but not 4 stars. Staff was friendly and for the most part the hotel was clean. I paid extra for a room with a garden view. The garden consisted of a couple palm trees and dirt. Nothing worth paying extra. The house keeping service leaves a lot to be desired, we had two people in the room and we received two bath towels, 1 face towel and 1 wash cloth. Air conditioning was ok but would have liked it cooler And the only other complaint was the fire alarm went off 2 mornings at 745. “The worst hotel experience I've ever had. The service was terrible from start to finish, and the food was poor quality. On top of that, they added several charges that made no sense, and I even found duplicate charges on my bill. Make sure to review your final bill very carefully before paying, as you may be charged twice for the same items. I would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. “Sandyport Beach Resort was the perfect place for me and my teen daughter. We wanted a low key resort where we were treated well but didn’t have to fight crowds. We had the lagoon beach practically to ourselves, it was amazing. We loved Da Conch Shack which was perfect for afternoon drinks or snacks by the pool.
