"This was one of the largest Japanese hotel rooms we’ve ever stayed in. The space was really valuable. Staff were friendly and helped us to forward our luggage to the next destination. I think we lucked out by getting a room on the second floor - there is only one elevator so we were able to easily use the stairs to get in and out of our room. "

Every time we left and came back they would bring a new little snack to our room. they also put you in a yukata with a big bow when you first arrive. "Room is small but cozy and extremely clean with great sound proofing even though we are above the train tracks we could barely hear trains arriving/leaving Staff is very welcoming and can communicate efficiently using English Breakfast is just too fantastic with great choices of local produce and Japan and western cuisine Bar is nicely decorated and I bet in summer when the glass door could be opened it’d just be so serene Had chance to use private hot spring room reasonably priced It has a great location about 3 min walk to train and bus station and only 10-15 min walk to the old street "

"Our stay was a great experience. I was able to relax and decompress despite my very short 16h stay thanks to the private and public open air baths, snacks, yukata, and attentive and welcoming staff. We initially were not sure how to get to the property from the Shirakawa Go bus terminal and had started a 30-minutr walk. But!--before we got to far, we spotted a shuttle with the Onyado Yui no Sho sign. We luckily were able to board the shuttle. We opted for the dinner and breakfast reservations and it definitely was a highlight of the experience-- traditional and fresh foods served as 3(?) courses, presented in beautiful dining pieces. Our sever was very friendly and accommodating, and even sought feedback on his English! (He shared with us that he has studied and plans to continue studying abroad, and his English will only improve!) I am very awe-inspired by the staff's dedication to hospitality. Our room was beautiful, clean, and spacious! Beds were comfortable. I will plan to return to Onyado Yui no Sho in the near future for much needed self-care and healing."
