“I was put in a villa that was old and in need of an update. Bed was terrible”

“The location can’t be beat - right on the ocean, right on the bike path, two restaurants on either side so you don’t have to drive anywhere if you don’t want to. We have stayed here several times, however on this trip we noticed how rundown the property is looking. “We loved pur stay at the Hampton Inn at Jekyll Island! The property was very nice and we loved the beach access. The boardwalk down to the beach was like a mini naturewalk through the woods and the beach was great. We loved that we could rent bikes right there at the hotel. The breakfast buffet was large with a great variety of food to chose from. The lady who was working stocking, cleaning, etc truly did a fantastic job!! She was great about keeping things stocked proactively, helping people...

“Rooms were huge, daily free breakfast was excellent. Holidays inn blocks the ocean view but the ocean is across the street. Very close and easily accessible. Loved the stay, that is why I stayed another additional night. I would go back today if I could. Great holiday!”

“What a beautiful hotel location right in the beach village of Jekyll Island! Rooms were beautiful and very clean. There was a slight issue with our room temperature as the air condition did not work, but we were only there for one night and did not complain about it. However, we did mention during check out and they did over compensation for the inconvenience. Great staff! Would definitely return.”

“Have had better breakfast. Parking was tight for my Silverado. Room had beer cans under sink and wine bottle. Coffee maker in room was not working. Staff was great. Room was small for 250.00 a night. No table or couch.”

Old southern charm, but with emphasis on the old— our room was as clean as housekeeping could possibly make it, but the carpet had large stains, shower door can’t stay shut, paint on bathroom ceiling and parts of walls cracked and peeling. Tile missing on bathroom floor. Brilliant location right in historic district because hotel is pretty much the historic anchor (former exclusive millionaires club built at end of 19th century). “Room was clean and mattress was comfortable. Strong smell of bleach in the bed linens. Staff was friendly unable to find at times. Pool was refreshing. Food was adequate. Parking a breeze. Female at bar on the evening was nice.”

“This location is under renovation and the 2nd floor has numerous rooms with plastic up to doors, floor has paper placed down to cover wood flooring, room 211 had very old sleep sofa which hasn't been cleaned due to dirt and pretzels found whwen opening, very old blanket on king size bed. Unable to retrieve money back from Expedia..spent exactly 8hrs in room: checked in at 2pm and out at 10pm same day. Strongly suggest other options of stay.”

“Ideal location for families because of convenience. Bright and beautiful spacious lobby was nice for watching a game. Breakfast buffet was excellent and the option to order from onsite restaurant was nice, we did this our first evening when we didn’t want to leave the hotel. Full size kitchens in the rooms are a game changer for families. We used our kitchen for easy lunches during breaks from the beach and pool.
