“Upon our arrival we were greeted by Stephen (the head porter), our bags were taken from us and we were offered a chilled glass of orange juice whilst we were checked in. We made our way up to our room (86 - sea view balcony) and our bags were only a minute or two behind us. Our room was just large enough, the king-sized bed was really comfortable, the bathroom was fab, and the balcony had the best view of St Brelade's bay just over the road. “Our group of 7 felt that the staff were super helpful; cheerful and obliging. The Manager was excellent and really helped us out on the day of departure when he very kindly drove us to the airport when no taxis were available. Would definitely go back. Loved the terrace area. We had large family room - perfect for 3 adults to share. Breakfast was individually cooked and care was taken in presentation. Thank you guys. ”

“Absolutely delightful hotel with great staff and outstanding rooms. The pool and spa must be one of the best on the Island. Very accessible and close enough to the main centre to be able to walk if you don't want to use the free hotel shuttle bus. Room very well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was well presented and of a high standard with good options for everyone”

“The Somerville is a lovely place to stay, with friendly, approachable, informative and attentive staff. Our superior double room was most comfortable and the shower had access to water that we actually understood! Gorgeous views. Fabulous areas both inside and out for relaxing. Sparkling pool. Steep walk up from the village, where there are good restaurants- tad tiring for we oldies! Would recommend. ”

“Lovely hotel although the bedroom floors creaked a lot. Staff were all wonderful and there was entertainment on through the week, but oddly not at weekends. About a 15 min walk into St Helier, but there is a local bus. I guess the hotel is for the older generation, but that suited us just fine”
