“Okay, it's nice enough for hiking and it's clean with a good view. Unfortunately, there is no blow dryer and the communication with the staff is hit or miss. I asked for a 3rd for room with my reservation, but the hotel owners said second floor would be better. Well, you can hear everything from the people above (stomping around and yelling). The area was hit hard from Helene...a lot lf trails still closed and not much for restaurant options in downtown Spruce Pine as they're still recovering.”

“This is an older hotel, nothing fancy as with most of this brand, but it was comfortable, clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints.”

“I was thankful to find a place to stop as we ran through bad weather. It was okay. The beds were nice and clean. The room was on the small side. The tv fridge were good. The bathroom looked rough and towels had some staining. They provided two towels for five people but they gave us a third when we asked. I don’t know that the hotel is worth what I paid. It looked like a 70 dollar per night room on the side of the road. But I paid way more. The breakfast was just cereal and yogurt. My kids were...

“sadly we did not enjoy our stay and we are old house lovers - the location was great being close to town and the WIFI was excellent but the room was not what we would have expected for the price - small with tub in the middle, toilet so close to the wall it was difficult to sit on, shower that went from frigid to burning hot off & on, no soap, 1/2 bottle of shampoo, the room was too hot and stuffy even with both windows open, bed was called queen but felt more like a double, bedding had cigaret”

“Recently remodeled motel is conveniently located in Black Mountain and is a great value. The room, bathroom, and linens were very clean. Staff was very friendly.”

“The room was not clean to satisfaction, The bathroom floor was really nasty, no phone in the room to contact front desk, no hot water in sink, and the shower was not working properly. When you got up off the bed it made a strange noise, This is a terrible place to stay i would not recommend it to anyone!”
