“Quaint, old property with parking and very close to the High Street. Excellent host, nothing was too much trouble.”

“The rooms were comfortable and extremely clean. . There was adequate parking, the restaurant was excellent and the Staff were very pleasant and helpful.”

“We really enjoyed staying at forest lodge. We were made to feel very welcome and relaxed in the bar area. Staff were welcoming and kind and friendly. A lady gave us a free bottle of Prosecco to help us celebrate our anniversary. Sitting in the bar having a meal and a drink was one of my highlights on our break. Some of the hotels main procedures cause them a bit of difficulty. For instance asking everyone for photo ID at check in- if this needs to be done it could be done at booking. Also...

“We have stayed at the Hopping Hare a few times. It is a great pub, the food is very good, and the staff are very helpful. We would recommend the Hopping Hare to anyone. Only down side is getting to the rooms can be a little tricky - narrow passage ways and stairs.”

“The location is good and the pub meals including breakfast are fine. Plenty of choice. Rooms have everything you need and staff will help if you need more tea or coffee.”

“I always stay at the Lockkeeper when I'm up visiting family. It's clean, comfortable with plenty of parking and excellent wi-fi (I worked from the hotel one day, including video calls). The staff are always welcoming and friendly and I often eat at the pub when I stay. It would be good to have an ashtray by the hotel, the only ashtrays are currently in front of the pub.”

“The room was beautiful. We had been to a wedding so they allowed late arrival back. The only feedback is they the room was stifling hot to enter. There wasn’t air conditioning but there was a fan they I was happy with. The pillows were so comfy and it was a luxurious stay. Would return. Breakfast was also delicious. ”

“My friend and I only stayed here for a single night so we could visit Chatsworth House and we kept talking afterward about how we wished we had stayed at least another day because this inn was absolutely wonderful! The room we had was so adorable and lovely, plus they had complimentary snacks and refreshments for us! “Really lovely place in beautiful location. Room was fabulous, very clean and comfortable. Was very quiet too and got an excellent nights sleep.The bar was great for a late night drink before bed, staff were very helpful and friendly.
