โA lovely old countryside Inn which has been modernised to an excellent standard whilst maintaining the old features The bedrooms are of a good size with comfy beds and stylish ensuite with powerful shower The room we stayed in also had the added benefit of air conditioning which was welcoming indeed with the ouyside temps being over 30^c
Food service and all staff were excellent and all in all we found The Star to be a great place to stayโ
โReally different and quirky place, very friendly owners and nice rooms, the breakfast was excellent lots of unusual choices

โIt was a shame that I didnโt arrive until the early hours of the morning. I didnโt get to sample the facilities that were available as I had to leave in the morning.
The staff were lovely and the standard of the hotel is excellent.
The price I paid for the room and breakfast was also very reasonableโ
โWe had a lovely 3 night stay, food and service were excellent. Staff were very friendly and could not help enough. Only small negative was the lack of aircon in the room, it was particularly warm and the fan provided just pushed the hot air aroundโ

โLovely place to stay for a couple of nights. Pool/gym facilities were excellent and restaurant/bar was great!! Lovely staff. Our room was so far away from reception areaโฆ.I went for a jog and started at the room and covered almost 500m before I reached the lobby! A guest laundry would have been most helpful.โ

โWe stayed in the suite and it was so beautiful we booked for an hour there night.
Friendly and helpful staff and our room was clean and cosy.
Breakfast was okay, but would've like to have seen a selection of mini cakes/biscuits and fresh fruits to the selection, just to give more of a variety and also some fresh juice in addition to the cordial, tea and coffee on offer.
However an enjoyable and pleasant stay and would love to return. โ
โThe room didn't have a kettle. Also no plug sockets next to the bed. The room service breakfast that they provided didn't arrive on time and made my day late, the service from the manager was very poor and she was arrogant not worth the money โ
โA lovely country pub. The landlady was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of tea and coffee sachets in the room. The food was exceptional and the breakfast was amazing. Even freshly brewed coffee which you do not get in hotels. We were pleasantly surprised.โ
